Advex Photocat System is a computer-aided instrument for measurement of photocatalytic activity of solid samples based on methylene blue degradation.

Main features

• Portable instrument connected to computer through USB port.
• UV source 365 nm, approx. 2 mW/cm2, 9W, socket G23, other fluorescent tubes which comply with these parameters can be used instead
• Red laser 650 nm (approx 2 mW) for absorption measurement close to methylene blue absorption maximum.
• Automatic stirring of the solution during measurement, adjustment of stirring speed is possible.
• Equipped with special-purpose software, which can handle all operations.
• Built-in fitting procedure for evaluation of rate of degradation from the measured data.
